– It’s about time to start a diet!

I’m sure you are already informed about many kinds of diets medias suggest, some of them really rigorous, others not, some workable, others also not.

Nevertheless, the most important matter is your own determination and persistence.

As beings inclinable to fattening, you’ve surely tried different kinds of diets, but in my view the best diet at the moment is the one that I’ve decided to share with you today, the chrono diet.

A chrono diet can’t be said a classic diet literally, but a kind of way of nutrition which enables weight loss.

Introduction and description of chrono diet

Chrono diet is divided in two periods:

1. Restrictive period

2. Post – restrictive period

Today I’m sharing the rules of chrono diet within the restrictive period.

Restrictive period

Restrictive period lasts for at least 28 days, until you reach the weight you personally require.

During this period, by obeying the rules, we completely clean our body of all so called toxics that are present in human body.

Within the period, which is the key period concerning such diet, there are several rules we must obey, so that the final effect of a diet becomes complete.

– Number one key factor is the duration of time in which we are going to consume our daily meals. So, the period between two daily meals must be 4 to 6 hours, but it would also be better if each meal is consumed 5 hours after the previous one.

– The day starts with a cup of herbal tea, or warm unsweetened lemonade. Breakfast is necessary and highly caloric, and the single meal that includes bread, but strictly chrono bread.

Chrono bread contains allowed types of flours such as rye, barley, buckwheat, and is made of baking powder instead of yeast which is usually used during the process of bread making.

– Do not use milk!

– Do not drink alcohol-except for red wine up to 4 glasses a week.

– Do not consume any fruit except for lemon, which is also important in cleaning toxics out of your body.

– Drink water, unsweetened herbal tea or lemon juice half an hour after each meal. Also you can consume plenty of such drinks as much as you can.

– Do not drink coffee before breakfast, but half an hour after the meal. It is actually recommended that you drink just two cups of coffee a day.

– When it comes to dairy products, a feta cheese is recommended to be consumed. Greek yogurt and sour cream are also allowed to be consumed 3-4 times a week.

Do not consume dairy products combined with eggs, except for some recipes that include eggs such as muffins, pies, pancakes etc., which undoubtedly must be seldom.

 

It is also not recommended mixing several dairy products at once. Namely, if you consume cheese for example, avoid combining sour cream and Greek yogurt with it.

It is worth to mention that milky butter is allowed to be consumed during restrictive period. It is concerned as lipid which combines with other dairy products.

– Pork, lamb and beef is consumed at lunch, with no exceptions, but chicken, turkey, or fish at dinner.

When it comes to processed meat, bacon, ham and smoked sausages are all allowed to be consumed, but it would be better if you try those one containing less additives such as homemade ones.

-Strictly avoid legumes and vegetables that contain starch such as beans, rice, lentil, peas, potatoes etc.

 

-Cereals are also allowed, except for corn snowflakes.

-Salads also perform the key role during all meals, especially at lunch and dinner. They must include olive oil, salt and lemon juice.

– Eggs can be consumed for breakfast, but when it comes to dinner, consuming egg whites is only recommended.

500 gr. pork

3-4 potatoes

1 eggplant

3 large bulbs of onion

1 marrow

2 tomatoes

5 okras

2 peppers

2-3 piquant tomato

2 carrots

Parsley

Oregano

1 chili (optional)

Preparation of Delicious Pork Stew Recipe :

I would recommend that all vegetables picked must be chopped into small cubes.

First, put both finely cut onion and pepper into a pan and fry them into preheated cooking oil.

Add finely cut carrot when onion is fried well and gets some yellow color.

When carrot is also fried, add finely chopped pork meat and all the other vegetables sequentially.

Vegetables that are added at the end are the eggplant, okras and marrow.

Then, pour some water into the bowl so that it covers the vegetables, cover it with a lid or some aluminum foil, and stew it for approximately an hour and 30 minutes.

Check occasionally if vegetables are boiled enough, since such dish needs to be soft and juicy, but be careful the vegetables do not lose their shape.

When entire preparation comes to an end, remove the lid, and finally, roast it for additional 10 minutes.

Canned Meat

Canned meat I use to prepare at home is almost always stored into the fridge.

When buying meat at the grocery, I always take more than usual, and I don’t refrigerate it all, but some quantity I prefer to preserve.

Canned Meat

There are two reasons why I choose to can meat:

The first one is certainly due to its much better taste.

The second reason is that the time I need to cook some meal prepared with Canned Meat is reduced to a minimum.

Canned Meat has already passed through a thermal processing, and it does not need much time to be added into any kind sort of meal.

Canning can be performed optional with any kind of meat: veal, pork, chicken or quarry.

Homemade canning is much healthier than meat we buy at store.

Its taste? – Just perfect!

Meat preservation does not include much spices, since meat is used as an addition.

I want to make sure all meals I cook to have kept their primary taste, with no spiced meat taste prevailing.

Ingredients for preparing Canned Meat :

Type of meat (optional)

Bay leaves

Salt

Pepper

That’s all.

Preparation of Canned Meat :

Canned Meat

First, wash meat well and put aside to strain.

Chop meat into small cubes, around 2 cm each.

Add some salt and pepper, and put aside for approximately an hour.

Prepare jars in meanwhile, which could be used previously, but make sure the jar lids are right.

Choose suitable jars, according to your kitchen space and quantity of meat you want to prepare.

I recommend you use either new jar lids, or previously used ones that are not damaged.

Canned Meat

Lids are the most important factor that enables meat remain fresh after you’ve conserved it.

Put meat cubes into jars, and add 1-2 bay leaves into each jar.

Cram meat well into jars with your own hands or a kitchen pestle, and cover jars with lids.

It is all you have to put into jars.

Arrange jars into a large boiling pot, that is higher than jars, and then pour some water that reaches up to the jar lids.

Finally, boil it all at low temperature for approximately 3 hours.

Cabbage Cake

Ingredients for preparing Cabbage Cake  :

1 medium sized cabbage

700gr. ground meat

1 bulb of onion

1 carrot

Salt

Pepper

Wild thyme

Oregano

100gr. walnuts

2 tablespoons bread crumbs

1 egg

Cooking oil

Cabbage Cake

Preparation of cabbage cake:

First, take one cabbage, easily remove its core, and carefully remove its leaves one by one.

Do not get alarmed if some of the leaves tears apart.

Boil some water into a boiling pot, with some salt added into it.

When water is boiled, easily remove the cabbage leaves. Keep two cabbage leaves fresh so that you use them further as a base when arranging.

Cabbage leaves remain into boiled water until they become soft.

In meanwhile prepare the filling.

Put finely chopped onion and carrot into a frying pan, and fry them for a while.

Then, add ground meat and fry it as well.

Also add salt, pepper, bread crumbs, finely cut walnuts and dried spices.

Put aside fried meat when ready, add one egg, and mix well.

When cabbage leaves are soft enough, take one leaf by one using food clamp, and put aside to strain well.

It is time to arrange the “cake”.

I want to present two procedures I use to arrange cabbage cake.

Procedure number one: Grease one large plate with cooking oil, and put one fresh cabbage leaf on the bottom.

Put some of the ground meat filling you’ve prepared, then put one soft cabbage leaf again. Repeat the procedure until you have cabbage leaves and filling on disposal, and cover the top with a fresh cabbage leaf.

Turn the plate upside down, put such prepared “cabbage cake” into an oven bag, and roast into oven at 180-200 C for approximately one hour.

Procedure number two: Choose one suitable pot with lid, then put fresh cabbage leaf at the bottom. Put some of the filling, and soft cabbage leaf. Repeat it all with the rest of the leaves and filling.

Pour cabbage cake with water into which cabbage leaves boiled. Make sure you’ve poured only 1/3 of the cake in its height.

Cover the pot with lid, and let it stew at low temperature for around two hours.

Eggplant Parmesan Recipe

I suggest Eggplant Parmesan as summer’s number one Recipe, since it is easy to prepare and tastes really good.

Eggplants contain much of dietary fibers and are also good for human’s health.

Their sustenance is pretty much high, but it contains less calories compared to various other vegetables. Therefore we feel absolutely replete when consuming it.

I would emphasize that you can also prepare a vegetarian recipe version of this, by adding vegetables instead of meat.

Ingredients for preparing Eggplant Parmesan Recipe:

1 bulb of onion

4 medium sized eggplants

250gr./ 8.8 oz ground meat

2 carrots chopped into small cubes

3 cloves of garlic

1 tbsp fine-cut parsley

2 egg yolks

250ml./1 cup sour cream

4 tbsp olive oil

1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Black pepper

Salt – optional

Procedure of preparing Eggplant Parmesan Recipe:

First, wash the eggplants well, remove their stalk, and cut into two halves. Do not peel the husk.

Carve the two halves with spoon, and chop the eggplant into small cubes.

Deep-fry the fine-cut onions and carrots with cooking oil.

Add the ground meat and the small cubes of eggplant into it, after the onions and carrots are fried well.

Then, put two yolks mixed with sour cream, and add some black pepper and salt when it is all finished.

Put some olive oil into a suitable bowl, and cover with aluminum foil.

Roast at least 40 minutes at 180 C/356 F.

Finally, take the tray out of the oven, then pour it all with parmesan, and put it back into the oven to complete roasting.
